EIGHTEEN opposition activists who were sent back to prison on terrorism charges on Tuesday – causing tension in Zimbabwe's unity government – were released on bail yesterday.
In an unexplained U-turn, magistrate Catherine Chimanda granted the activists, including human rights campaigner Jestina Mukoko, bail on condition they surrender their passports.
