Zimbabwe rivals start talking

SENIOR negotiators from Zimbabwe's ruling Zanu-PF party and the opposition Movement for Democratic Change began talks yesterday at an undisclosed location in South Africa.
Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe's president, and Morgan Tsvangirai, the MDC leader, agreed on Monday to hold talks to try to end the deadlock over Mr Mugabe's disputed re-election in a run-off poll last month.
