Uzbekistan's human rights shame

UZBEKISTAN jailed political opponents, routinely tortured prisoners and committed other serious rights violations last year, effectively making it Central Asia's most authoritarian state, the United States said.
In its annual survey of human rights in 194 countries, the US State Department strongly criticised the regime there.

This is the same American government which kidnapped a man and shipped him to another country where he spent two years in solitary confinement without a trial, and was then shipped to another country where he spent five years in prison for his opinions.
