THE UN's nuclear watchdog last night said it believes Iran is still withholding information on its nuclear programme.
In a report, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Tehran's alleged weapons development studies remain "a matter of serious concern".

The tone of the language in the report revealed a glimpse of the frustration felt by agency investigators stymied in their attempts to gain full answers to suspicious aspects of Iran's past nuclear activities.

Iran has described its co-operation with the agency investigation of its alleged nuclear weapons experiments as "positive", suggesting it was providing information requested by agency officials.

The report stated: "Iran has not provided the agency with all the information, access to documents and access to individuals necessary to support Iran's statements (that its activities are purely peaceful in intent.

"Iran may have additional information, in particular on high-explosives testing and missile-related activities which… Iran should share with the agency."

And, of course, the yanks and all the other exisiting nuclear powers share all their information with them too. And another pig flew by.

Israel, the country with the most outstanding UN resolutions against it has nuclear bombs and missiles provided by the USA and UK over the years so why not Iran who has never invaded anyone's territory? In a nuclear world it is only a matter of time before some fanatic gets a hold of the material for a dirty bomb or a real bomb and it is easier for that fanatic to contemplate wiping out Israel than it is for Israel to wipe out the Arabs. If Israel even tried that it would be them and not Iran that would be wiped off the map with USA, Russian and Chinese missiles before they decided to "lose it" with someone else. It is inevitable therefore that unless the Palestinians are given all their land back and the Jews push off to say Texas to live in Bush's stable Israel will one day go the way of the Dodo, that flightless pigeon. But of course the Israeli leaders value land more than they value their people's lives so the end has already been decided for them. All it takes is one unchecked packing case being taken into Tel-Aviv harbour on board a ship and it is over for Israel. A two year old could do this analysis and come to this conclusion but that doesn't make it any less correct.

"IV. General Understandings
1. These modalities cover all remaining issues and the Agency confirmed that there
are no other remaining issues and ambiguities regarding Iran's past nuclear program and
activities."

While much time has passed since the Aug 07 article, it is interesting to note the shift in tone by the IAEA.

"Iran *may* have additional information, in particular on high-explosives testing and missile-related activities...."

Wow. Do you think?

This article neglects to mention the evidence of close cooperation between military personnel and scientists; the only conceivable purpose of this cooperation is the construction of warheads and delivery vehicles.

@2 (proximaking/britfree): hang out a lot with two year olds, do you? It shows.

As has been mentioned what about the IAEA making Israel own up to it's (as stated by former president Jimmy 'Peanut' Carter,International Man of Integrity) 150 odd Nukes?

Which, I'm willing to bet, are all aimed at Iran/Iraq!

What's good for the Goose . . . . .

I wonder if anyone ever thought of phoning the Israeli Prime Minister, saying they were the Iraqi Prime Minister and then yelling BANG! into the phone?

Good one, Blackley.

Did you mean the *Iranian* prime minister by any chance? This story is about Iran, after all. Or are you not able to differentiate?

Don't drink and post, kids.

The difference between Israel having nukes and Iran having nukes , is the fact that Israel hasn't used them...even when attacked. Could any of you say that Ahmadinejad will be THAT prudent?
Whether they have nukes or not Israel can be trusted..Can Iran?
I know the Israel haters will come up with the wrong answer.
