Two killed as jet crashes into sea

AN investigation was under way today after an Airbus A320 crashed off France's southern coast during a maintenance flight, killing at least two people.
Five others on board were missing, authorities said.

The plane had undergone checks at the EAS Industries aircraft maintenance centre in Perpignan. It was being leased by German charter airline XL Airways and was due to return to service for Air New Zealand next month.
