A BRITISH children's author who drowned in the Philippines was "a born artist" whose daughters "were everything to him", his family said.
Richard Kidd, 56, of Gateshead, was swimming alone at Bataan's Dunsulan Falls. His children's books included his debut Almost Famous Daisy!.
