CHINA has launched a "brutal crackdown" in Tibet since last year's protests, the Dalai Lama claimed today in a speech to mark the 50th anniversary of the failed uprising that sent him into exile.
Tibetan culture and identity are "nearing extinction", the Tibetan spiritual leader said in Dharmsala, India, where he is based.

I wouldnt call getting modernised cultural extinction. If that were so, alot of culture has become extinct over 10,000 years of human civilisation.

Anyway, I dont buy that mystical way they selected this guy to be the DL. Consult the stars and the moon and the sun and bingo, there's your God Leader!

And conducting a violent uprising after bargaining for autonomy isnt really the best way to seal the deal too!

#3 - Indeed, 'Scottish culture' as some would imagine it, is dead. However, you could say that of any culture you wish, if you regard living in a time warp as 'having' or 'retaining' your culture.
All to often 'culture' is misrepresented as being something which must not change.

Culture means:

State of manners, taste, and intellectual development.

To retain our culture, are we to freeze in time our state of manners, taste, and intellectual development?!

You must not have visted a casino lately. They definelty are not dead. If they are dead, I want my money back.

And for those that don't know, Indian land is not subject to federal laws like other land, so casinos are legal if the local tribe wants it. All over the southern US, casinos are sprouting up on Indian land.

This is exactly why the West must remain alert against China.
Her heart towards other cultures is APATHY.
She doesnt care about anyone apart from herself.
Other cultures are to be used for her plans and her plans are always for the conquest of other nations.

She has a plan for each Western nation even England, I believe.

When her armies are big enough... and her friends (the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation partners) are sufficient in number, she plans to move outwards to conquer.
Its all in the Holy Bible in Revelation chapters 9:16 and 16:12.
On that day of the 'great outward extension' she will have 200 million soldiers.
200 million soldiers loose in asia and heading Westwards.

Why not?! One doesn't like to be passed over...

Are you insinuating that Scotland is somehow not worth having a grand plan about?
