MASKED police beat dozens of opposition protesters in the Georgian capital yesterday in the latest flare-up in a campaign against president Mikheil Saakashvili.
Black-clad officers confronted a protest of about 50 people demanding the release of six activists detained at Tbilisi's main police station.
