PAKISTANI soldiers battled Taleban fighters in the streets of a militant stronghold yesterday as government forces pressed their offensive in South Waziristan.
Officials said soldiers were fighting street by street through the mountain town of Ladha, where ten militants were killed yesterday. The army said 30 had been killed across the region. Eight soldiers were injured.
