AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a plane carrying too many passengers nose-dived into a cemetery in the US, killing all 14 people on board, including seven children.
It was reported that a family of five from St Helena, California, were among the victims of Sunday's crash in Montana. The single-engined aircraft was believed to be taking passengers on a ski trip.

The National Transportation Safety Board said it first thought the plane could hold 11 people, but after talking to the owner, it realised it was designed for only ten. A spokesman said children under two years old can sit on the laps of adults – but only one of the children was that young.

US federal aviation officials said the investigation would be hampered because the plane had no cockpit voice recorder or flight data recorder.
