A PERUVIAN Indian leader charged with sedition for heading protests against Amazon development has sought refuge in Nicaragua's Embassy and is seeking asylum, the government said.
Alberto Pizango led protests that erupted in violence on Friday when police moved to break up a highway blockade manned by Indians. The clashes left dozens of people dead.

A worthy cause, but no excuse for killing folk. He will now become another activist in exile,supported by gullible folk. His future now assured. Shades of some gentleman who has an honorific title bestowed upon him by a Chinese Emperor!
Real activists are those who stay and fight for their beliefs.
