ZIMBABWE's prime minister has abandoned shared rule with President Robert Mugabe due to the "persecution" of a top aide.
Morgan Tsvangirai, pictured, told reporters his party members would not engage in executive work with Mugabe's party.
"We can't continue to pretend that everything is well," Tsvangirai said.
