PRESIDENTIAL hopeful Barack Obama beat his rival Hillary Clinton by just seven votes after record numbers voted in the Democratic primary on the tiny US territory of Guam in the Pacific.
After over 12 hours of manual counting, Mr Obama had won 2,264 votes to 2,257 for Mrs Clinton. In 2004, only 1,500 people voted.

Approx 9.5 seconds to record each vote allowing for only one counter, obviously education was the big issue here.

The last thing the World needs is that Nutter Hilary Clinton. She is the most dangerous person to have ever come out of the Democratic Party. Obama is I believe the first person since Kennedy that is miles ahead of the many candidates that they have put forward. Its time for the American People to come out of the trance that has been induced on them by BigBrother aka Big Business.

No I am not anti business. As a matter of fact I have my own business. Its Time for you lot to stop fighting amongst yourselves and get rid of the bitch. Stop listening to the Big Business Media who do what they are told by their masters. Barack is the real deal, and that is precisely why they want him stopped. He is like Kennedy a potential Champion of the People and to be quite honest you are all being sold down the river. Do you honestly think that the most Wealthy Country on this planet has suddenly hit the skids just because it was time. Bush gave you lot 130 billion dollars to put the country into more debt. A decent President would have taken the same amount of money and put it towards large capital works programmes that would have increased pride and employment opportunities. When was your last Hoover Dam project completed. Look what that did for US pride in their nation.

Whatever you do dont vote for Clinton, she is as bent as a dogs hind leg. McCain is merely a puppet for big business. The biggest problem they will have with him is keeping him awake to sign more docuements prepared for him by big business.

One of the many things Barack Obama is not is a "champion of the people". The working people have voted and will continue to vote for Hillary Clinton. She is by far the most knowledgeable and capable person for the job. If you go to one of her rallies, or have the chance to meet her in person, you'll find that she is nothing like the media charicature that is presented every day. She is a very caring, hard-working, woman who also happens to be brilliant.

At best, Obama is a blank screen on to which people project whatever it is they want to see in a politician. Nobody can be all things to all people and if you try you risk becoming nothing to everyone. That is becoming abundantly clear with Barack Obama. He is nothing like JFK. Barack Obama is just a crooked Chicago pol. Ask one of his supporters why they support him and you're likely to hear that he "inspires" them. Nice for a minister, but not enough to run the USA.

One more small thing, they are recounting in Guam. By the time they're finished, it's very likely that Hillary Clinton will have won be several hundred votes.

#2 A Better Way: Y'know, perhaps you have a valid opinion on the United States' presidential primary elections but, I have to tell you, when you start out your comment with unfounded personal insults ("that Nutter Hilary Clinton") I just stop reading - on the assumption that nothing of any value is going to follow.

Perhaps you should take a leaf from Sandi's book. At least she kept her insult for the second paragraph ("just a crooked Chicago pol") and, by then, I had some idea of the point she was making.

I'm going to be completley candid in my comments because to be honest I have a hard time with all of the canidates (rep and dem). Each one has their flaws and strengths but I don't see any of them as really having any leadership experience. For instance, we haven't had a president who was a senator since before reagan. Bush Senor gained his experience from being V.P. while some other presidents were governors first before they were presidents. To me that gives them more experience than arguing in the Senate. I realize that I have put down all the canidates in the race and I do know one of them has to win but I want to see a leader with leadership skills who will be able to lead this country and win through merit instead of making all of these empty promises that cannot be kept.

this article tells us a CBS poll out today that says Obama's popularity has rebounded since he spoke against Wright. and it says that Clinton & Obama are both about equally popular and with each of them currently able to beat John McCain easily in the november election.

I had to laugh a bit at Sandi's description of Obama as a 'crooked chicago pol'. because Hilary Clinton grew up in Chicago, that is where her family is from. And then when she lived in Arkansas when her husband was governor. She & her husband engaged in several shady business schemes that many considered criminal.

LOL! I'm not sure whether to thank you or not!

#7 Wally,

Yes, Hillary did grow up in Chicago, but luckily didn't participate in politics there.

"She & her husband engaged in several shady business schemes that many considered criminal."

But not the courts. Neither was found to be guilty of doing anything wrong, and they weren't really "shady" at all. Please refer to "The Hunting of the President " by Joe Conason and Gene Lyons. It's a great pity that the Obama campaign has, for over a year now, regurgitated the ridiculous, untrue accusations made by the Republicans in the 90s.

BO and Hillary would handily defeat McCain?

really? I havent seen a single poll with either Hillary or BO.... with over 50% of the popular vote... Hillary cant win the DNC nomination without causing a WAR at the convention... a war that will split the DNC right down the middle.... and not a war as the GOP might have had where you had a wide selection of candidates that had their ardent supporters, but no significant "I'll vote for the other party before I vote for the other guy" sentiments... other than the whackadoos like Ann Coulter & Rush Limbaugh... so hillary cant win...

BO has THREE major problems
1) To put Hillary out, BO needs to suppress the vote in Florida and Michigan... and that is a poison pill... IF he cant suppress that vote HILLARY wins the popular vote and she will not quit.... if he does that he hurts his chances in november because he marginalized the vote in two MAJOR states that he A) must win and B) didnt carry in the primary

2) the delegates that put him ahead.... are from states that will not "go blue" in November.... BO did NOT carry California, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Arizona, or Florida, or Michigan... and he lost the VOTE in Texas... these are the states that the DNC MUST CARRY ALL of to win in the fall...

3) his associations and elitism are killing him

you claim the DNC will win.... how so? CBS (NBC, and ABC) are in the DNCs pocket, and even moreso than FOX is in the GOP pocket... when was the last time you actually saw any of these clowns go after BO, or to a lesser extent Hillary....? these guys are all still FURIOUS over 2000... and as with Florida in 2002 they will report ANYTHING to beat the GOP candidate... and as in Florida in 2002... they are going to be disappointed....

#9 Mike,

CBS & NBC trash Hillary all the time. ABC isn't quite so bad, but still not fair. Until a day or two ago, much as I hate to say it, Fox was fairest to Hillary. Amost all the MSM is in the tank with Obama. They just don't report a lot of the stuff that is going around about him. For instance, last Friday, Greta von Susteran on Fox interviewed John Murtagh whose home was bombed by the Weather Underground, and specifically Bernadine Dohrn, when he was eight years old. Murtagh also wrote two op-ed pieces about his experience. Keep in mind that Ayers and Dohrn have not only not expressed any regret for the bombing and killing they did, they think it was not enough. Nobody else picked it up, even thought it was also cited on RealClearPolitics.com.

Sandi in 8:

You are correct that courts did not find Hilary Clinton a criminal. and you are correct that the book you mentioned by Conason showed the effort to get the clintons in a very bad light. However, I still think the Clintons are criminals. Hilary we remember admitted that she invested $1,000 in market trading and within 1 year had $100,000 from the effort. First she said she made the trades, then it became evident she didn't know what trades she made. A trader made all her trades for her. He was obviously making a payoff to her by funnelling profits to her. That is not legitimate or real to go from $1,000 to $100,000 in 1 year by trading on wall street. and then there was the time she bought a nursing home in Iowa and sold it 2 hours later pocketing $200,000 for it. Some prosecutors thought that was a payoff too. Even if it was legal, how can she pretend she cares about people when all she did was drive up the cost of elderly care which is already outrageous.

and there's the whole criminal background of the Clintons in Arkansas with the Mena drug smuggling. Hilary was very close to Vince Foster. Foster would travel to Mena every Friday afternoon and come back with a trunk-full of cash. The county attorney in that county where Mena is covered up, he later ended up a Republican congressman, then head of the federal Drug Enforcement Agency under Bush. There was sworn testimony from Arkansas police confirming the drug smuggling and much else too.

The Clintons were crooked and that the government was crooked to tolerate it doesn't excuse the situation. So the Bush's & the Clinton are both crooks, doesn't make it right or legal.
