Obama heads for Caribbean break

BARACK Obama, the Democratic presidential hopeful, has travelled to the US Virgin Islands for some "down time" away from the campaign.
The Illinois senator is hugely popular in the Caribbean territory, where he convincingly won the Democratic Party caucus.

latest state-by-state polls are not good for Obama.

According to electoralvote.com (http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2008/Obama/Maps/Mar25.html) the result would be:

Electoral Votes: Obama 218 McCain 296 Ties 24

With a Clinton candidacy the figures (http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2008/Clinton/Maps/Mar25.html) are much better for the Democrats:

Electoral Votes: Clinton 273 McCain 221 Ties 44

The truth is that in the swing states voters are more likely to back Clinton than Obama.

In a McCain-Clinton match-up, Clinton loses Virginia (to a tie), Colorado (from tie), Iowa and North Dakota but gains New Jersey, Minnesota, Arkansas, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and, crucially, Florida.

She also turns Ohio and Tennessee into tied votes.

rather interesting poll site...

all under the guise that hillary or obama can weather the watchful eye of the media... neither DNC candidate has been able to fare well under that scrutiny...

1) obama's unwillingness to distance himself from the radicals in his roots has rendered him a neuter even within the margins of his own supporters... hillary cant take the bid, and not appear a shrew... and keep the hard core obama-ites from bolting... Obama cant keep the hard core hillary crowd in line... and hillary most likely wont take the #2 for an obama ticket anyway... who does that leave... another run of albore? edwards? or maybe ron paul (JUST KIDDING)?

2) IF clinton were to get the nod from the DNC... what do they predict with regards to all those hard core Obama-ites (not to mention the crowd whose shrill screams in 2000 went on about "the popular vote")... do you REALLY think they are going to fall into step with the hillary camp? do you REALLY think Obama would even take the #2 slot on a hillary ticket?

bottom line... come the end of july NEITHER of them are going to have the "requisite" elected delegates necessary to pull the nomination... this is going to throw this into the laps of the "window dressing" "super delegates" who were never concieved of to actually cast the "deciding" votes like they will now... alienating 30-40% of their core constituency... no matter HOW they vote... its not pretty... but what do you expect from a party whose entire platform is based on pandering to special interests...

and what do you do about Michigan and Florida.... the 3rd & 6th largest population states in the union... either
1) they have NO say...
2) their "say" is watered down significantly... or
3) they go HEAVILY for hillary

#4-mike-Those hard-core obama-ites will be taking it to the streets with guns, bricks, and fire--and obamas pastor-mentor will be leading the way. Look out whitey and jews!
