SPACE pioneer Buzz Aldrin, 79, the second man to walk on the moon, said yesterday that the world should press on with establishing a human settlement on Mars as "a wonderful objective" for humanity.
Space exploration could offer younger generations much-needed goals, he added.

The earth suffers from a lack of humanity Buzz...where have you been all your life?

So you think Buzz that as we have stuffed up Earth, we should go forth and stuff up other planets?

I am all for sending the loonies to Mars, starting with all animal and child abusers and that includes sending live export industry supporters to mars with a one way ticket.

Given that the moon program was an utter waste of public money for a load of old rocks, I think it will be difficult to sell yet another multi-billion project to the US taxpayers in order to bring back some exotic sand.

Fantasy, pure fantasy. There is nothing at all on mars that can support human life, no water, no air, no food, nothing. Everything would have to be transported there. No fool like an old fool Buzz.
