Iraq: US and Iraqi forces killed at least 13 gunmen in battles overnight in Baghdad's Sadr City.
A US military statement described a "complex" battle in the eastern Baghdad slum, a stronghold of fighters loyal to Shia cleric Moqtada al-Sadr.

Zimbabwe: Police have banned political rallies and the opposition has accused the authorities of waging a violent crackdown, as Zimbabwe's political crisis deepens nearly two weeks after a presidential election that produced no official winner.

Good for the American and Iraqi forces! I'm sure most of the posters here with "Bush Derangement Syndrome" won't like this news or will find something to complain about.

Feb. 13, 2008 - Imad Mouhniyah killed in bomb blast in Syria, Israel and US blamed.

April 13, 2008 - Top al-Sadr aide Riyadh al-Nouri killed, Israel and US blamed.

And they say that there is no good news anymore!

Why don't these belly-crawlers realize that the entire world hates them and that their own neighbors and 'co-religionists' are just as likely to blow them up or shoot them as anyone else is?

- And rightfully so, of course! ;)
