dont know any roma people but they certainly dont have an enviable reputation.
friends from greece who had had a home invasion by half a dozen of them certainly were not to keen, they also did say that crime statistics in greece showed a very high criminal rate among roma people

Percentage wise the Roma where practically exterminated by the Nazis and communists. Now no-one wants them, they are not accepted anywhere, and even the EU feels they are fair game, why not just shoot them if it seems they may be roma?
At least then Berlusconni's government would be open about what they are.

the roma seem to be the last 'legitimised' targets of racism. they are never mentioned in conjunction with holocaust remembrance, and they seem to suffer structural neglect and deprivation wherever they go. shame on neofascist italy.
