Israeli troops stage Gaza Strip pull-out

Gaza: Israeli troops pulled out of the Gaza Strip today after days of fighting that killed more than 100 people.
Hamas vowed to continue firing rockets into Israel. But the Israeli government declared it had achieved its objective of deterring attacks.

N Korea: The government threatened to bolster its nuclear deterrent today in response to US-South Korean war games, striking a discordant note after a week of diplomacy that raised hopes of warmer ties between the US and North Korea.
