NOURI al-Maliki, the Iraqi prime minister, has said he expects the United States to withdraw troops faster than a three-year timescale laid down in a recent security agreement. As a result, the government must beef up Iraqi security forces, he said.
Barack Obama, the US president, campaigned on a pledge to remove all combat troops within 16 months.

"As a result, the government must beef up Iraqi security forces, he said"

After 5 years, why hasn't he beefed it up already.

Because it's far easier when someone else (Read us),pays the bills and does the heavy lifting.

The sooner US troops get out of there the better. The best place for US troops is home where they belong and they should stop meddling in sovereign countries affairs. Killing over 1 million people to remove 1 man is called genocide.

I vote for home from everywhere. But there are many foreign cities that rely on US bases for income and jobs. Stop funding NATO and the UN as well. The UN is a big money hole, time to stop throwing it down the hole.

We'll see.. he's gone back on a lot of promises already.. There is a signed Security agreement... we will see.. The Generals on the ground, and the Envoy are saying to not risk a quick departure..
Like I said, we will see.

Aouthern Gent.. The UN should just fold up its tent and disappear. It is good for nothing.
The charities that are there could be run by foundations. That building could be renovated into condos for the City of New York to collect taxes etc. The UN is a farce anyway.

The fact of the matter is it was none of our business to poke our nose into a sovereign country in the first place no matter what was taking place there. We certainly had NO justification to bomb the city of Baghdad where undoubtedly a large percentage of the population were civilians. I can't imagine how I'd feel if Bush was another Saddam and Russia came along and indiscriminately bombed American cities. Your logic is ridiculous. You are trying to justify war crimes. It would be a different story if your mom and dad were living there at the time and were blown to pieces.

And you might reverse your own post if your parents were kurdish. Saddam could have prevented it had he just abided by the UN resolutions. Did he?

As a new poster you must not know your insults and name calling is not needed here. Putting your insults aside it appears you have selective outrage on which countries the US should get involved with.

And NATO along with it. I would even vote Democratic if it was on the ticket to pull us out of both worthless organizations. Let Putin have it.
