PORTLAND, Oregon, has become the largest city in the United States with an openly gay mayor.
Sam Adams, 45, was sworn into office at 12:01am on New Year's Day during a ceremony attended by a crowd of about 40 that included his mother and his partner.

I surmise that your remark is a criticism of some sort.

I believe Portland is big enough to encompass any manner of tourist trade and where is it stated that Portland's tourist trade is a "family-oriented tourism industry' or is this just wishful thinking on your part?

As for all this trolling and flaming and chicanery in these threads can't some posters just read a book, watch a good movie on DVD or get some fresh air or just m*asturbate to get relief from the demons in their brainless heads?
