A WOMAN has given birth to septuplets in an Egyptian hospital.
Emad Darwis, head of el-Shatbi hospital in Alexandria, said the 27-year-old mother, Ghazala Khamis, is now in a stable condition, though she did require a blood transfusion during the Caesarian section.

The premature babies, four boys and three girls, have been placed in incubators in four hospitals. Khamis, from the northern province of Beheira, was already a mother of three.
