Diamonds rescued from the dirt

A STATEN Island jeweller managed to recover her $20,000 (£10,000) diamond earrings after she, her husband and sanitation staff searched a landfill site.
The jewellery were in a jar of cleaning solution which a worker at their shop accidentally threw away.
