China: A coal truck collided with a bus in the far western region of Xinjiang today, killing 20 people and injuring 12.
North Korea: Kim Jong Il went to the Pyongyang zoo and visited the tigers, bears and aquarium in the latest in a spate of reports depicting the leader as fit three months after his reported stroke.

North Korea has denied the 66-year-old was ever ill.

Singapore: A court has sentenced Australian journalist Peter Lloyd to ten months in jail over three drug-related charges.
