Cancer hope for Tasmanian devils

AUSTRALIAN scientists said today that the discovery of a genetically distinct colony of Tasmanian devils may save the species from being wiped out by a contagious form of cancer that has decimated the population.
The newly-found colony has so far proven immune to the face cancer that has ravaged the iconic animal.

Saw a real Tazmanian Devil in Australia Zoo. Didn't resemble the cartoon character at all.
