INTELLIGENCE officials say the leader of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan – which is linked to al-Qaeda – is believed to have been killed by a US missile strike in Pakistan's north-west.
Sources said Tahir Yuldash had been wounded in a missile strike in the South Waziristan tribal region in August and is believed to have died a few days later. The Taleban have denied the claim.
