'Some must die' official is sacked

AN OFFICIAL working for Croatia's state health insurance department was fired yesterday after saying "some patients must die".
Tonci Buble's remark followed reports of a young patient who could not afford the necessary medicine and was unable to get state aid.

Life appears to be cheap in Croatia.

If I ever visit there and get sick remind me to get airtransported to another country for treatment.

Its actually the Scottish Medicines Consortium who you should worry about, a group who pass medicines for use in the NHS in Scotland through rigorous evaluation from a panel of 12 experts. In said panel are, 1 doctor, 1 pharmacist, 1 senior research nurse and the rest are accountants who are obviously ideally placed to make a decision based on the scientific research base and clinical trials of the efficiacy of a drug.
