'Cuba bomber plan' denied by Moscow

REPORTS that Russia was considering basing nuclear-capable bombers in Cuba have been denied by defence chiefs in Moscow.
The newspaper Izvestia cited an anonymous air force official as saying it could happen in response to US plans to place elements of a missile-defence system in eastern Europe. But the defence ministry denied it.

Legally they have the right to but it would be slightly more destabalising than NATO setting up missile bases in Poland & the Russians would not be so aggressively stupid.

Neil, have you taken into account the fact that a bomber can carry nuclear weapons but that the missiles that are going to Poland are unarmed? Difficult to equate the two, don't you think?
