Vandals torch crane

A CRANE was set alight by vandals on a building site at a Lothian high school.
The crane, which was being used to carry out work at Deans High School in Livingston, was set on fire at about 7pm on Monday.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze in the cabin of the crane using hoses.

A group of youths had been seen in the area prior to the incident.

Strange thing is that these children desperately need educated, yet they burn (destroy) the equipment that is perhaps building their new school.

On my frequent visits to Latvia, as well as many other countries across Europe and seeing how keen the children are to learn - even in schools that are falling to bits!
