A BIZARRE pervert, who rolled around on the ground simulating sex with a traffic cone in front of shocked onlookers, was today admonished and warned not to repeat his extraordinary performance.
Ross Watt, 34, who has a ten-year history of freakish offences, urged about 20 youths to watch him indecently rub himself against the cone at Calton Hill just after the Festival last year.

He approached teenagers asking if they would sell him their shoes. When they refused he told how he had been romping with a cone earlier and offered to give them a show.

They circled their cars around the fetishist, shouting "give it some".

Defence agent Andy Gilbertson told Edinburgh Sheriff Court: "Many people appeared to be encouraging his behaviour and many were probably disappointed there was not a repeat performance during the Festival this year. Hopefully he has finally learned his lesson."

Sentence had been deferred until today after Watt was found guilty of a breach of the peace.
