Branson warns of more misery

SIR Richard Branson yesterday predicted further misery for rail passengers travelling on the west coast main line as the route undergoes an £8.6 billion upgrade.
The chairman of Virgin Group warned that the disruption caused by closures on the London to Scotland line could get worse if Network Rail sticks to a plan to complete the work by December.

Sir Richard called for a later deadline to minimise disruption to services and avoid creating even more pain for passengers.
