A YOUNG girl has been killed after being hit by a high-speed train at a level crossing.
The girl, believed to be in her mid-teens, was hit by a Swansea-bound train travelling at 85mph at Pencoed near Bridgend, south Wales, at about 9.50pm on Friday.

British Transport Police are investigating the girl's death, which they say appears to be a "tragic accident". Counselling is also being arranged in the form of 'street pastors' for traumatised witnesses.
