POLICE in Japan have apprehended a Briton who went skinny dipping in a moat ringing the Imperial Palace, attracting a huge crowd.
The unnamed man, believed to be a 40-year-old who lives in Spain, threw stones and splashed water at two policemen who chased him in a rowing boat with a long stick.

A long stick was no good, they should have used a gaff.

#2 Pictures in other papers far more revealing and more on the story to.
Just another case of a Brit being a Brit! The arrogance of out of control Brits overseas is breathtaking. 15minutes of fame, shaming their country of origin in the process. The perception of Brits abroad conveyed by this articles actions to the Japanese will have done irreparable harm to the already tarnished image of British tourists world wide.In Japan "Face" is everything. In UK showing your A**E to everyone is culture.Time to deprive these scum of their passports perhaps? Oh can't do that, it contravenes his 'uman rights'!

#2 Druginhead.

You obviously detest your own country as you never pass an opportunity to besmirch it. I'd say that was a bit sad, as well as a bit sick. As for him being a "Brit", I think you'll find that he was, in fact, English. Try and get your facts correct.

As for your comment "In Japan 'Face' is everything.", then perhaps it is time that the Japanese faced up to their war crimes committed during World War II, and stopped altering such things as school text books in an attempt to airbrush them out of history. I also think that the greater majority of your would-be fellow Chinese would agree with me on that point.

When this story broke initially, I guessed that it could only be a Brit who would do something as stupid and crass as this.

Drink was probably involved here and went on to the typical pattern of doing something stupid (like swimming in a moat) with the option of getting naked at the same time and then the usual ending of agressive confrontation with the police and his inevitable arrest to round it all off.

Yes - it could only be a Brit.

# 2 Drughead is showing his usual colours in lambasting and criticising Great Britain.

If he detests the UK so much perhaps he should do us all a favour and STOP POSTING!

He is a waste of space and his postings are incomprehensible and hateful and just plain silly, just as he is.

Sorry Sir, but #2 Dragonhead has every right to post his opinion just as you do. Even if I don't share his opinions, I'm willing to read them and comment them like every other poster. Many people posting here are all too eager to jump on the "China-bashing" train, especially critical of China's policy to control "freedom of speech", and at the same time, the same people want to prevent posters in China from airing their own views....double standards, no?

Merci beaucoup ecossais at heart,france.
As for comments from the raw prawn canuck and Guga (cackling insanity in Chinese).
I used the term Brit as it had not been stated at the time I read the story (not in the hootsmon either)where he was from.I don't hate the UK at all.
As for the comments on Japan by Guga, they have absolutely SFA to do with this story. For the record,I have consistently railed against the atrocities Japan inflicted on millions before and during WW2.Recent posts have mentioned "The Japanese prison in Seoul and the Chemical warfare station in north-east China"to name but two. My comments were on TODAY not WW2 era.
As with other comments I have made.It is not who you are who offends me, it is what you do that offends me! That covers all be they Brits,Japanese or titled Lords.Don't like it? Tough!
