ONE person died when a light aircraft crashed into a ditch on Sunday afternoon near Coates in Cambridgeshire, an East of England Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed yesterday.
The fire service and police were called, and a person, thought to be the pilot, was declared dead at the scene.
