THE MMR jab played no part in the death of a "healthy and robust" baby ten days after having the vaccine, a coroner ruled.
George Fisher, 18 months, was discovered dead in his cot in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, by his mother Sarah hours after he was heard "chatting away on the baby monitor".

I DON'T believe a 'word of it' but then 'cover-ups' do take place.

Chas,

How can you say this is a cover up?

It can be difficult to prevent one's emotional response to a tragedy like this get in the way of one's critical thinking but the suggestion that doctors and, especially, a coroner who has no axe to grind one way or the other, would want to 'cover up' a vaccine-related death doesn't stand to reason.

Every year hundreds of apparently healthy infants die suddenly of natural causes. I'm sure the families of every one of those infants will be desperate to find a reason and for many of those, a recent vaccine will be seized upon as the likely culprit. But the best evidence is that the MMR doesn't cause deaths or autism.

Unfortunately, because of ill-informed scaremongering by anti-vaccine people, the take-up rate for MMR remains low and cases of measles - a disease that should have been eliminated in the UK by now - now number well over 1,000. I hope that none of those children end up blind, death or dead as a result of catching this horrible disease.

Too sad....ten days after the MMR seems an awful long time to suggest a cause and effect....

Well lets see other reports relating to wee George Fisher's death, I never 'jump to conclusions', neither do I believe the MMR had no part in it,

------------------

"The Fishers believe the vaccine is "implicated" in their son's January 2006 death and that doctors should have warned them that a child suffering from a high fever should not receive the shot.

George died 10 days after being vaccinated.

The couple said they later learned that children who have suffered a convulsion are at a higher risk for having another one after getting the MMR shot. They believe the boy suffered a second convulsion after getting the vaccine."

Charles

On what basis do you make your claim that "neither do I believe the MMR had no part in it"? Do you have medical information of this tragic case not available to the doctor or Coroner?

You quoted from Fox News, but it goes on to say:
"But Crickmore [the Coroner] said George's symptoms emerged too soon after receiving the vaccination to be related to it.

Although George had a 2 percent chance of suffering a convulsion after the shot, there's no evidence he suffered a second convulsion after getting the shot, Crickmore said."

Or do you just not trust the Coroner to do his job diligently and impartially?

We lost our Son of 14mths in November exactly 10days after receiving his MMR Jab. He was perfectly healthy little boy with no illness. I stongly believe that the MMR played a part in his death. An inquest has been opened and we are due to the receive the results of this in the next couple of weeks. I do however suspect that if they do find a link, we will be the last people to hear about it. These deaths are happening every year but still the Government are doing everything they can to cover this up. How many more babies have to die?
