THE friends known as the Tapas Seven, who were on holiday with Kate and Gerry McCann when daughter Madeleine vanished, accepted £375,000 libel damages at London's High Court from Express Newspapers today.
The damages that were paid out over claims they had covered up the true facts concerning Madeleine's disappearance are to be donated to the Find Madeleine Fund.

In a joint statement, the friends said outside court that they "strongly" feel that the defamatory stories were "detrimental to the search for Madeleine".

Disgusting.

How these parents can still show their face in public is beyond me.

You dont leave kids by there own, in an unlocked house. Simple!

That's not really fair is it. Yes, they shouldn't have left them alone but imagine the guilt they will have forever now. It's disgusting that she went missing but it's not her parents fault it's the dirty bas***d who took her. I wonder though if this money will be put towards the funds for Maddie's search.

Any one now seen their appearance on Oprah Winfrey will know they are frauds - they left their daughter to go and have a drink. Let's NEVER forget that!
