Force arrests 300 people in a day

MORE than 300 suspected criminals were arrested in just 24 hours by a single police force, it was announced today.
Merseyside Police launched the crackdown yesterday, using 200 officers to take 303 wanted men and women into custody.

Arrests were made for robbery, assault, burglary, prostitution and the supply of drugs.
