OLD favourites Bruce Willis and Harrison Ford have tied for top spot in a poll of the greatest big-screen action heroes.
The Pearl & Dean poll of 3,000 people showed many felt Willis set the standard for the action hero with his 1980s' role as John McClane in Die Hard, a role he reprised for the fourth time last year.

Ford is remembered as Han Solo in Star Wars and as the swashbuckling archaeologist Indiana Jones, a role he has taken on for the fourth time in a film out later this month.

Third place was taken by Last Action Hero star Arnold Schwarzenegger, with 15 per cent of the vote.

Kathryn Jacob, the chief executive of Pearl & Dean said: "It seems I'm not alone in preferring the older breed of action hero – film fans agree the newer leading men can't hold a candle to the old school."

Only 3000 responded. Hardly representative of even a third of the population of the country!

Studies show that 99.9% of atistics don't work in real life!

What about Daniel Craig? He is GREAT as James Bond and has the look, the body, the swagger, and knows how to carry himself in expensive suits AND casual clothes and those revealing bathing costumes.

He is also athletic, has a sardonic sense of humour as he utters his lines, and is very easy on the eyes - almost as easy as his female co-stars.

Loved the Bourne films, and Matt Damon was very impressive.
