AN INITIATIVE to introduce health certificates for models on Britain's catwalks has been abandoned after fashion councils in New York, Paris and Milan refused to follow London's lead.
The plan would have required models to obtain a doctor's certificate proving they were in good health.

Aren't these models pampered and primped and coddled enough? One would think their agencies would make sure they are healthy enough to prance down the catwalk in their semi-anorexic states without fainting.

Seems to me just another attempt to inflict government regulation on a profession that is known for excess and self-indulgence.

I must observe that sometimes Charles Linskaill's postings are becoming a tad "weird" at times. Perhaps it is a passing phase or he is suffering from the "dog days" of summer - or something.

But I read them try to extract their essence.

They should make they walk down a boardwalk....the problem of anorexic models would simply disappear (down the cracks...)
