ASTRONOMERS have found 32 new planets outside the solar system, adding evidence to the theory that the universe has many places where life could develop. Scientists using telescopes by the European Southern Observatory did not find any planets quite the size of the Earth, or any that seemed habitable or unusual. But their announcement increased the number of planets discovered outside the solar system to more than 400.
Six of the planets are several times bigger than Earth, increasing the population of so-called SuperEarths by more than 30 per cent. Most of the planets are bigger, Jupiter-sized or even larger.

"
History will show that our present big bang cosmology is an unfortunate accident of timing. The foundations of the big bang story were being laid down early in the 20th century. At the same time, electric lights were just being introduced and the study of electric discharges in gases was in its infancy. The result was that Einstein’s new, esoteric geometric theory of gravity that treats empty space as an ‘object’ capable of being warped, was combined with a curious interpretation of the redshift from faint extragalactic objects (that was not favored by Hubble himself as being physically likely) to produce the notion of an expanding universe. The fact that this defied a principle of physics in creating matter from nothing at the beginning, or big bang, seems not to have concerned theorists. It should have. Invoking “the ultimate free lunch” is not science. On the other hand, based on observation the Electric Universe assumes a universe of unknown age and extent. "

Funny why none of this is mentioned in the bible?

not much of a history buff are you.... rofl

or do you just pick & choose what you like from what you find.... patchworking your belief structure together...

so, from your ridicule of "big bang theories" I take it you are a Hoyle/Steady State guy....

just explain one little thing... why are the Quasars and radio galaxies all extremely far away? why none in our locality of the universe? THIS is the point that "Steady State" guys start staring at their shoes and muttering...

and while you are scoffing "big bang theories" creating matter from nothing AT THE BEGINNING.... from loosly understood processes

"steady state" theories require creating matter from nothing throughout the history of the universe.... from completely conjectural processes, with absolutely NO explanation of any of the processes involved...

and you know Hoyle was an intelligent design guy... dont you?

Actually, it does say, "Worlds without number have I created." You just don't know it well enough Iain
