A PARKING firm was under fire last night after slapping a £200 parking fine on an ambulance while its paramedic driver collected life-saving drugs.
Kevin Wheal was away from his vehicle when an employee of parking company BGS spotted the vehicle and issued the fine in Kingston-upon-Thames.

Obviously yet another of these jumped up little jobsworths that like to throw their weight around. They are, of course, usually worse if they've been given a uniform to boost their self-importance.

The only reason that firms like this exist is because the government has seen fit to hand out confidential driver and vehicle registration details to them upon request. This allows them to track drivers down and pursue them for money.

Thankfully, this practice is banned north of the border because of a subtle difference in the wording of the law.
