Sudden death of Lord Johnston, 66

ONE of Scotland's most senior judges, Lord Johnston, has died suddenly. He was 66. It is understood he suffered a heart attack.
Alan Johnston, known affectionately as "Big Al", was elevated to the Bench 14 years ago. One of his last high-profile cases was the rejection of an appeal by Nat Fraser, who is serving a life sentence for the murder of his wife, Arlene.
