THIS summer the government launched a crackdown on rip-off credit card merchants. Interesting to see, then, that the Co-op Bank's official Labour Party credit card, being touted at Brighton, has an 18.9 per cent APR. For a £1,000 debt it would take over 28 years to repay at the £5 minimum monthly rate – longer than clearing the UK's massive national debt.

In two minds on Gordon's speech

TIM Reid of BBC Scotland asked a prospective Labour parliamentary candidate for a Scottish seat what they made of the PM's speech. "I thought it lacked punch," was the frank, off-air assessment. Then Reid turned on the microphone: "It was a fantastic speech," trilled the candidate. There is, quite literally, nothing like honesty in politics…

sarah brown is a lot more personable than her hubby. but that is also because she is not a politician.
although being a stooge at a conference for the missus is par for the course these days.

not that salmond needs to do it, he has his own aura, and keeps his missus genuinley out of the way, whilst brown pretends he does.

at least his missus got them clapping. and of course they clapped when brown finished after telling us he had saved the world again and not to vote for those nasty tories.

he could mention the death of ravenscraig, bathgate, the mining industry and even linwood, and he could mantion that the oil money helped to save and even rejuvenate britain, helping to build a channel tunnel and many miles of motorway throughout england, but labour would be tarnished as well as the tories. just as it should be after their ineptitude.

Dear Editor , It is quite natural,for some people who are not involved in politics ,quite deeply in our National POLITICS to be , let us say < In two minds on Gordons Speech> But Gordon Brown must come to realise that the majority of the general public opinion its no longer into his favour. I will dare say that we are in need of a genouine Lion,and not of a predatory FAKE LION who is wishing to hide behind an idiotic stupit beautiful lovely silcy bed PUSSYCAT ,namely so speaking as the Prince of darkness . Our Nation after all those continued disastrous and Repetitive mistakes, of its extremely well payed IDIOTIC POLITICIANS in our PRESENT IF not say contemporary Parliament: We do not stand a single chance under all those stupid an idiotic Luxuries given into our own politicians to drive Britain in the right direction. Our PARLIAMENT is now in a serious situation that it needs a serious clearance,of all, if not say almost of its political representatives.The wistom of the general public should now be taken into serious consideration ,as it has come to the position,to reject all those important politicians , that have an involvement in British Politics, without a successful record !! ??? The truth which the stronger an undeniable factor ,which is the most power factor ,when ever it comes in question,out of its painful silence: Speaks Nothing but Nothing but the Truth: Little that i care for any political Party in Britain,--- but i care only which is the best out of all,that can represent my country at it very best. I would have welcomed quite strongly any individuals that come forward from the public sector. In a true democratic System we should have many? Why on earth we do not have even ONE???? All i come to say, with all your kind respects Ladies and Gentleman's, we have for a long time miss understood Democracy, as it stands in in original formation of true and genouine ancient Greek Philosophy. The rules are there ,but if you brake them ,or bastardise the sys
