Baby death in West Lothian

POLICE are investigating the "unexplained" death of a baby girl at a house in West Lothian.
Lothian and Borders Police said the girl, thought to be around one week old, was found dead at a property in Bathgate, at 9.30am yesterday.

A police spokeswoman said the death was not violent and added: "It's being treated as unexplained at the moment."

She said a post-mortem examination would be carried out.
