#1 Only problem is 5c is worth 4p not 1.
There is something comforting about Euros. They give you the feeling you have useable currency in your wallet.

Mandelson denies it - it must be true. The old sleazeball up to his tricks again. He hasn't spent several years in the unaudited territory of eurofantasyland not plotting how he could wangle another easy-going high-paying job. So while Broon plans to be a high-flying director of the banks he's just "saved", no doubt Mandy has President of Europe lined up as his next wheeze. José Manuel Barroso isn't subtle so maybe he's blown the gaffe.

To paraphrase Steve 1511 we are Brown with Doom, Brown.

Doubt it is seriously true, more likely it is just labour spin to distract from the mess they have made of the economy. Typical mandelson. Keep labour in the headlines and talking about side issues to distract from the core issue the shamble of the economic management under Brown and labour.

Mandelson denying it = Almost a done deal?He like others will be looking for more renumeration in a plum job in Europe after his tenure in Whitehall terminates. If he hasn't been "bought" already, it would be unusual. He has sold out the country at every opportunity for his own ends. Why would he change?

he is a proven liar, and for all you dumb sods out there who want the euro, disappear off to europe and see how how much your pound will be worth if its a pound for one euro system, brown, im mandy fly me cant wait until they have devalued pound even further then the sheep start screaming to join euro and they laugh all the way to the bank, the scam is simply done, at the moment we can get 11% more for pound, meaning the products we flood in from europe costs us 11% percent less the minute we join it will costs us 11% more, plus if you get £300 a week wages do you really think your boss is going to give £33 more to compensate, my left buttock they are, this happened the last time we got conned into joining common market, we then had to go decimal and over night our cost of living went through roof which took us 20yrs to get out of, or dont you remember the mass unemployment of 70s/80s, for 20yrs a british farmer couldnt sell have his produce because it may not have been straight enough, example a guy grows 1000 cucumbers which to make a profit can sell them at 20p each , 500 are slight bent so he has to sell them at 40p then destroys 500 , and this is when there is a world food shortage, tell me again why we should be totally taken over by france , germany italy ,spain again.

Mandleson's denial is comfirmation they are planning to ditch the pound. This from a "man" who said recently that Britian MUST look now at joining the euro.

Lies and deciet, the hallmark of Liebour. Let's see the "unionista rule Britannia" brigade spin their way out of this one.

Not the bent cucumbers again. We should decide on Europe if were in or out. If were in we should be in the Euro and then we could sell the bent cucumbers fror another use.

In my opinion “The Prince of Darkness” AKA Mandelson will be the undertaker to the United Kingdom. Where ever he goes Corruption and Repression will follow.

Scotland must take its first opportunity; fight for it if necessary; to get out of this unequal Union. Then we must turn our energies to extricating ourselves from an equally unsatisfactory union with Europe.

This so called credit crunch is not simply a fairly large blip in the financial world, it heralds a fundamental change in our way of life and in the way that we will react in future to our neighbours. In this change oil will play a crucial role as production continually and increasingly will be unable to meet the demand. The knock on effects have not as yet been considered but they will include shortages in the essential resources such as food.

Scotland is in a small minority of nations that have sufficient and possibly a surplus, in energy resources and, properly directed, the ability to produce sufficient food to feed its population. On the other hand, England will find itself increasingly short of the resources such as energy, water and food. I am certain that the mandarins of Unionism are aware of this situation and hence the determination to keep Scotland in thrall to an English parliament.
