TWO out of five workers are ignoring pleas from their employers to go green, according to a new report today.
Energy giant E.ON said its research showed the need for improved staff training and more incentives to improve the energy efficiency of business. A minority of workers were refusing to change their behaviour, it was claimed.

How about the majority of so-called "greens" who claim to support "green" issues yet whenever one is put forward, they tear it to peices and argue as to why it cannot go ahead?

The two fifths probably are not wanting to get railroaded any further by these so called Green supporters.
There is no stopping them once they get started.
Breathing is causing danger, blinking your eyes is a waste of energy that need to be replenished so stop doing it etc.

First of all, you 'train' animals. Humans, you educate.

Second, what on earth does pleading with your employees to go green mean? Support Hibernian or Celtic?

If - as I suspect The Scotsman was too lazy to report - it means switching things off when not in use, employers have sanctions to enforce their policies in this area so what's with the "pleas"?

First of all the greens object to windmills on delicate peatlands and then we find in another story that they're now mumping on about peat being dug up in record amounts because people can't afford the fuel bills because of Green people and governments raising tax and then escalating prices. I believe in conserving scarce resources - that makes sense. What doesn't is trying to wreck the economy and turn us all into wee obedient Commies eating grass in caves.

I don't own a car, I cycle everywhere. I recycle paper, plastic and beer bottles. I switch off most stuff when I'm not using it. I've done all that even before the Green Party was founded because it just plain damn makes sense.

The bunnyhuggers annoy even me though. They witter about wind power and then whine about windmills. They rant about carbon dioxide and then decry nuclear power despite it not producing any. I've even asked the "Co-Chairman" of the Green Party whether he'd support nuclear fusion - a technology that works like the Sun and produces little to no waste. He wouldn't. The Greens basically want us all to live in tunnels and caves and don't give a damn if the lights go out.

#3 is correct.

This global warming nonesense and carbon footprint carry on is just rubbish. There are huge amounts of researched and verified evidence to show this.

There are hundreds of researchers and scientist that have challenged governments throughout the world to have a proper debate about it but the governments and their scientist refuse because they will not see that they just might be wrong.

I do recycle, I do switch off lights, save water etc etc etc but not for these reasons I do them to save money because the greeny goodies are pricing everything out of reach.

Today's Vote

Do you think it’s right for the council to spend £100,000 on a tree survey?
Yes, urban trees are so important to the quality of life
No, the cash could be spent on better things
Idea’s great, timing terrible given the cuts to services
