GORDON Brown said today a fast internet connection was considered by many to be as vital as electricity, gas and water.
Writing ahead of today's publication of the Digital Britain report, which sets out the Government's plans for the future of communications industries, he said he was "determined that Britain's digital infrastructure will be world class".

World Class ?. I believe he is looking for speeds of 50mbs by 2017 !!!!!!.

So why am I sitting here in Germany with 100mbs ?

I get flat rate internet and telephone, combined with over 40 channels of HD TV. I got a receiver with a hard disk for recording programs and films.

I can pause both films and Live events like football with this system. All for the pricy sum of 46 euro a month.

That's how much you are being ripped off, and how far you are behind, in "Modern Britain".
