SUDANESE investigators are trying to determine why a jetliner that had just landed in a thunderstorm skidded off a runway and burst into flames in Sudan's capital, Khartoum, on Tuesday.
At least 30 people were killed in the accident, authorities said. About 170 managed to escape and 14 others remain unaccounted for, with a death toll far smaller than was originally believed.
