A WOMAN, believed to have been working as a prostitute, was fighting for life last night after suffering serious head injuries in a "particularly violent "attack.
The 29-year-old was discovered early yesterday lying in a pool of blood in the basement entrance of a city-centre office block in Glasgow, a short distance from the city's red-light district.

Police believe the victim had been left for dead by her attacker, and doctors last night said her condition was "giving cause for concern".

The attack came days after a 26-year-old prostitute was raped in a city-centre car park. However, police said it was too early to link the incidents.

Police are anxious to speak to anyone who saw the woman in West Campbell Street and West George Street, possibly with a man. She is described as white, slim and with light brown hair. She was wearing black trousers and a black top with a pattern.

Is Willie Rae still around?

Or is he enjoying his retirement in Cyprus while Glasgow, after all these years, is still one of the most violent cities in Western Europe.

Well done Oor Willie!

Your knife amnesty was a total failure but you still enjoy a wonderful retirement at the tax payers expense.

When our half-wit loony left Scottish politicians use "poverty" as an excuse I go ballistic.

Scottish neds are walking about with expensive mobile phones wearing designer gear.

Some "poverty".

Why should we waste precious resouces on such criminals. Aren't they all just scum anyway, and isn't the world a better place without them. Let them fester in their own sewer.AS long as the streets are kept clean for the general public, that all the cops should concern themselves with.

If, in fact, this woman was a prostitute, she should know better. Prostitution is as illegal as theft. And should be worse, as it promotes STDs. Not to mention unwanted babies. These women should be taken off the streets.
