THE Scottish and Welsh football associations are set for crunch talks in February over the prospect of co-hosting the 2016 European Championships.
The SFA and FAW confirmed that "tentative" discussions over launching a combined bid for the event had taken place.
Having conceded in a statement that "we simply couldn't host it by ourselves", the SFA wants to link up with one of its near neighbours in the hope that a joint bid will be successful.
Yesterday, an SFA spokesman said: "We're meeting the other home nations at the International Football Association board meeting in Belfast in February. I'm sure it's something we will discuss."
