Scots and Welsh in talks on Euro Championships joint bid

THE Scottish and Welsh football associations are set for crunch talks in February over the prospect of co-hosting the 2016 European Championships.
The SFA and FAW confirmed that "tentative" discussions over launching a combined bid for the event had taken place.

Having conceded in a statement that "we simply couldn't host it by ourselves", the SFA wants to link up with one of its near neighbours in the hope that a joint bid will be successful.

Yesterday, an SFA spokesman said: "We're meeting the other home nations at the International Football Association board meeting in Belfast in February. I'm sure it's something we will discuss."

In this electronic day and age it should be easier for the Scots, Welsh and Irish to conjoin a Celtic Alliance for sport and anything else. We know the cost of being disjoined by the London middlemen

1 and 3! Why is this being turned into an anti-London discussion? Get the chips off your shoulders boys! There's no reason the UK government won't support the bid and its not as though we're competing against the English to host it! The English would love it if the tournament was held on their doorstep - unless of course they don't qualify!! Try and be positive about something for once boys!!
