A PRIEST has been hired to bring together new communities set to be created on the city's waterfront.
Father Ross Bell has been recruited by a consortium of agencies in the Granton area.

His role will be to bring together people who find themselves living in waterfront accommodation over the next few years, from those in penthouse flats to families in social housing.

He will also bid to bring together "old" and "new" Granton as part of his remit.

He said: "I am a regeneration practitioner and enjoy working in teams of people of diverse skills and personalities.

"What I am doing is nothing new as churches have had a presence of building communities for hundreds of years."

He added that the upcoming Waterfront Gala day on August 24 would show how far the area had come in recent years.
